Joe Siegel
Joe Siegel serves as President of Sustainable Designs, leading efforts to improve resource security for vulnerable communities around the world. His work focuses on increasing access and equity to critical resources and services in developing areas. He previously served as Vice President of Energy and Security Group, leading and managing initiatives that provided sustainable development solutions to remote areas in the US, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. He worked as a project manager, policy analyst, and sustainability consultant for projects supported by USAID, World Bank, USDA, EPA, DOE, and private foundations. Mr. Siegel received a Master of Natural Resources from Virginia Tech.
Judy Siegel
Judy Siegel is a recognized authority in clean energy policy, technology, finance, and programming with a focus on rural development and environmental sustainability in developing countries. She has served as Deputy Director of the World Bank’s Asia Sustainable and Alternative Energy Program (ASTAE); President of the US Export Council for Renewable Energy; and Managing Director of Winrock’s Clean Energy Group where, among other responsibilities, she managed the USAID Cooperative Agreement on the Increased Use of Renewable Energy Resources program. Judy is an active member of the international clean energy community, holding or having held board or related positions with a number of prestigious organizations: American Council on Renewable Energy; International Institute for Energy Conservation; Institution for Sustainable Power; Business Council for Sustainable Energy; Ex-Im Bank Renewable Energy Exports Advisory Committee; G8 Renewable Energy Advisory Group; Quality Assurance Group, World Bank Energy-Gender Poverty Project; and Global Village Energy Partnership. Ms. Siegel received a B.S. in Economics and Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) from Penn State University.
